  2. ‘The Aventine Hill, from the Northwest, at Dusk’.

    As they did the day before, a few slow-moving monks are lighting lanterns; in Sant’Anselmo they sing their chants at eventide.

  3. ‘The Janiculum Hill, from the Northeast, at Sunset’.

    Like Janus, you could look forward and back, both at the same time. Let us climb this hill, and attempt that.
